If there’s any quarterback who’s built to fix the mess in Cleveland, it’s the guy who flipped two college football programs on their heads.
Sanders is, however, walking into a seriously strange competition though. The Browns quarterback room is absolutely packed—Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel. Oh, and whatever’s left of Deshaun Watson’s situation. But here’s the thing: Shedeur’s never needed an easy road. He’s just needed an opportunity.
General Manager Andrew Berry and Coach Kevin Stefanski are preaching competition, but Shedeur gets it. "First thing is showing respect to the vets," he said. "I'm just ready to work."
Shedeur Sanders is exactly what the franchise and the city of Cleveland need.
The Browns didn’t just draft a quarterback. They drafted a leader who’s already been through more pressure than most NFL rookies could dream of—and came out smiling.
Cleveland fans have been begging for someone to believe in.
I think they finally got him.
