Shedeur Sanders is about to become one NFL franchise's cornerstone in the 2025 draft. Whether he goes No. 1, No. 2, or slips elsewhere in the top 10, there will be a QB-needy team hoping to find their new locker room leader.
Shedeur hasn't been in many locker rooms his dad and brother weren't also in. This will be a major adjustment for the "Grown QB."
Sanders addressed that during his "2Legendary" podcast.
“[I’m gonna] be able to adjust cause (Deion) gave me all the stones and everything that I need… to approach any challenge that comes in life… when I go to a different team, everybody is [different], but I still got a phone, so I’m still gonna be able to talk to him and everything. But I’d say he prepared me the best he can for me to go out and tackle the world," Shedeur said.
“It’s gonna be a bit odd and a bit strange for all of us… we don’t know where anybody is going. We don’t know if me and Shilo are gonna play for the same team. If we’re gonna be on the same coast… we all been around each other so much. It’s just crazy right now, cause everybody has to learn how to live without each other.”
Shilo may not be drafted, so it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility that they end up together. There are always those pesky Coach Prime-to-Vegas rumors too. Maybe the band won't be splitting up after all.
Assuming the Sanders family is fracturing in 2025, though, Shedeur may have the most pressure of any of them to succeed on his own.
