Shedeur Sanders didn't have his best showing against BYU, throwing two interceptions and being sacked for -34 yards in a 36-14 Alamo Bowl blowout. Still, he's widely expected to go No. 1 to the New York Giants this April at the NFL draft.

ESPN draft analyst Matt Miller believes the "Grown QB" has what it takes to handle the Big Apple's spotlight after basking in the glow of "Prime Time" his entire life.

“It has to be Shedeur Sanders if you’re the New York Giants,” Miller said on SportsCenter, per On3. “We’ve seen a parade of bad quarterback play from them this year. The great thing about Shedeur is he’s been in that spotlight his entire life as the son of Deion Sanders …

“We talk about, can guys handle the New York media market? Yeah, he’s been handling it his entire life, not to mention what he does on the field. He’s surgical as a passer, he’s tough, he’s accurate, he’s smart, he’s a great point guard at the next level. That’s exactly what the New York Giants need with the number one wide receiver Malik Nabers already there.”

Shedeur is already better equipped to handle the NFL scrutiny than Cam Ward. Miami lost 42-41 to Iowa State in the Pop-Tarts Bowl because Ward sat the second half after helping the Hurricanes build a lead at the half. That decision will haunt him for the rest of his career since he purposely broke the all-time passing TD record before sitting in the second half.

Outrage mostly came from bettors, since the Pop-Tarts Bowl is fun, but not worth the risk if Ward didn't have the insurance Shedeur and Travis Hunter were offered in case of an injury. Still, the narrative will follow him.

Having already ingratiated himself to NYC via a catch with Giants star WR Malik Nabers, and sporting red, white, and blue colorways, Shedeur appears Big Blue-bound.

It's a good fit, too.
