For over a decade, Tad Boyle has been the face of Colorado basketball, and if you ask McKinley Wright IV, the man deserves a statue outside of Coors Events Center. And honestly? Heโ€™s right.

Boyle has racked up more wins than any coach in CU history while taking the Buffs to levels of success that were once a pipe dream. He guided CU to its only Big 12 title since 1969, and his teams have consistently competed in the NCAA Tournament. In fact, Boyle ranks in the 85th percentile among active coaches in total wins and the 90th percentile in tournament appearances. Some fans act like making and winning tournament games is easy, but history shows itโ€™s anything but.

Even more impressive is the impact Boyle has had on his players. From Wright to Spencer Dinwiddie, Derrick White, and Jabari Walker, his guys swear by him. Boyleโ€™s former players have raked in over $36.5 million in NBA contracts, a testament to his ability to develop talent and set them up for success at the next level.

While the recent season's struggles have sparked discussions about the program's direction, it's essential to recognize Boyle's substantial contributions to Colorado basketball.

As McKinley Wright IV suggested, I'm all in on considering a statue outside Coors Events Center to commemorate Boyle's enduring impact on CU basketball.
