Rumors have been flying lately about the potential of Deion Sanders leaving the Colorado football program to pursue a head coaching gig for the now-coachless Dallas Cowboys.

Regardless of if one believes this will happen, the implications are massive -- and not just for the Cowboys. Gig ‘Em Gazette writer Graham Harmon highlights an important transfer portal steal that could rock the Buffaloes to their core if Deion departs.

“The Aggies could finally bring Drelon Miller home,” Harmon writes.

“Recruiting enthusiasts will remember Miller as one of the prize Aggie recruits of the 2024 cycle, until the rocky terrain of the midseason hit the A&M program hard. Miller, along with other highly-ranked players, ended up decommitting… If Sanders heads elsewhere… Miller could look to depart Boulder— and the Aggies could well reap the benefit.”

This would be a massive pickup for the Aggies, who recently suffered a three-game losing streak to end their season; first to Auburn, then Texas, then USC. Miller, a unanimous four-star, has been ranked the No. 39 player in his class, and the ninth-best from the state of Texas. It's safe to say Miller has incredible potential and could bring much to the table for the Aggies.

As the debate about Sanders’ potential to leave Colorado rages on, it’s important to note that this potential doesn’t just affect Sanders and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, as many seem to think. Players from both franchises could be forced to make significant changes to their careers to either cater to their new coach or leave their programs entirely.

As for Miller, it's unknown whether or not he was only staying in Boulder to play with Shedeur Sanders.
