If you’re a Colorado Buffaloes football fan, circle May 3 in red.

Coach Prime is set to host what might be his most loaded recruiting weekend yet, highlighted by five-star offensive tackle Felix Ojo, the No. 4 overall player in the nation and the top prospect in Texas.

Ojo is a 6-foot-6 mauler out of Mansfield, Texas, and he’s got every major program in the country throwing the kitchen sink at him. He’s making his first-ever visit to Boulder this weekend, and that gives Coach Prime a real shot to make a splash.

Let's stop for a second...could you have imagined the Buffs having a five-star OL on campus just three years ago?!

Okay, apologies. I'm back. But it’s not just Ojo.

Joining him are six other blue-chip recruits from the class of 2026 (This must be a dream).

Jake Kreul (4-star EDGE, No. 36 nationally)

KJ Edwards (4-star RB, No. 42)

Jalen Lott (4-star ATH, No. 52)

Jase Mathews (4-star WR, No. 66)

Breck Kolojay (3-star IOL, No. 288)

Deacon Schmitt (3-star OT, No. 345)

That’s a stacked list—and it speaks volumes about the brand Coach Prime has givin Colorado football and Boulder.

Ojo told On3 that Deion is “changing the game” at Colorado. And with the program’s renewed focus on rebuilding the offensive line—adding Xavier Hill, Zy Crisler, Larry Johnson III, and several four-star freshmen—Ojo would be the anchor that turns the Buffs into legit National Championship contenders.

The other recruits are all in key position needs for the Buffs. Jake Kreul is an edge rusher from IMG Academy with freaky athleticism and SEC offers. KJ Edwards is a nightmare in space. Jase Mathews is the kind of wideout that would be a huge pickup, especially catching passes from Julian Lewis.

This May 3 weekend feels like a statement and a big day for the future of the program. If Colorado can impress, we might look back on this as the moment the 2026 class turned black and gold.
