Travis Hunter wasn't the one who came up with the idea of his Heisman pose

Everyone witnessed how Travis Hunter struck the iconic Heisman pose, but ever wondered what went into the making of it?

Apparently, it was Deion Sanders' marketing masterstroke.

As he confessed on "Coach Prime's Playbook with Romi Bean," Sanders prompted Hunter to pull off the pose.

"Yeah," Coach Prime said when Bean inquired if he had a conversation with him beforehand.

"I think after he caught his first touchdown pass that day, I was like 'Get that pose on.' He's like 'not right now, not right now,' and that's really what I said. That's all I said. It was kind of in the passing," Sanders added.

Then it was all Hunter, from deciding the perfect moment to pull the Heisman post after reeling in an interception off a KJ Jefferson pass and pulling off the pose perfectly.

Travis Hunter in competition with Ashton Jeanty for the Heisman trophy

Hunter's top competitor in the Heisman race is Boise State's Ashton Jeanty, who made a master move in leveraging Hunter's absence from the bye week to get his Heisman candidacy solidified further this week.

However, Hunter has been widely regarded as one of the best players in CFB currently, if not the best one, by several experts, the most favored to win Heisman. Jeanty, on the other hand, has done his part in impressing everyone by topping the Heisman charts as an RB.

It will all depend on the way Hunter and Jeanty can stock up on number moving forward.
