Travis Hunter is indeed human. You'd have to forgive fans, coaches, and his Jaguars teammates for not being sure until now. Even after two years, he left plenty of doubt about his otherworldliness for Colorado fans.
There is a superhuman quality about the former Heisman Trophy winner. His superpower has always been a complete inability to fatigue; he can withstand over 100 snaps per game and never look worse for the wear, routinely making plays in the fourth quarter of games when everyone assumed he would be completely winded.
There were plenty of questions about his ability to play both ways in the NFL, just like there were questions about his ability to do it in college. But early returns in Jaguars camp have been positive. Hunter is doing exactly what he did at Colorado: making plays as a WR and a CB.
But during Sunday's practice, Hunter finally faltered, ever so slightly, and revealed that, as amazing as he is, he is, somehow, human just like us.
I regret to inform you all that, at long last, Travis Hunter has not hauled in a pass in Team Periods.

Travis Hunter has been exceptional in Jaguars camp
It's not exactly a surprise to see Hunter tearing it up in Jaguars camp. He was the best player in the country last season, the best player in the 2025 NFL Draft, and it won't be long before he's one of the very best players in the NFL.
Hunter missed a play on Sunday, it happens, but of course it came two plays after he did what he's done all camp long: make a highlight reel play:
Of note: this was 2 plays after another highlight TD between Lawrence-Hunter.

Hunter was shaken up briefly, spit up, and was immediately in on the next play https://t.co/ZKLaBfNfj7
Hunter is going to make a difference for Jacksonville on both sides of the ball. It's a key year for Trevor Lawrence, and adding a playmaker of Hunter's caliber will be key for his development and Jacksonville's offense this year.
But Hunter might be even better as a DB. Ryan Clark certainly thinks so. Hunter has a preternatural ability to diagnose plays before they happen, and he's made just as many eye-opening plays on the defensive side of the ball as he has on offense.
The Jaguars open up the preseason on Saturday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. It remains to be seen how much, if any, Hunter will play in that game, but it should be the first opportunity to watch the Colorado superstar in a live NFL game.
