DeAndre Moore Jr. and Boo Carter have not yet played their first game for Coach Prime in a Colorado uniform, but they are already drawing the attention of NFL scouts.

Moore and Carter have been included in the Senior Bowl's annual Top 300 list, a list that highlights players who are eligible for the draft and who will be watched as the 2026 college football season gets under way. The fact that two players from Colorado have been selected gives them a chance to aim at one of college football's most respected postseason events.

The scouting staff of the Senior Bowl looked at over 2,000 players from all levels of college football before reducing the number to 300; Colorado was one of the 74 universities included and three 38 players from the Big 12 were on the list.

As Drew Fabianich, executive director of the Senior Bowl, said, "we’ve challenged our staff to identify the 300 best draft-eligible players in the country, and this list represents the prospects we believe have separated themselves to this point in the evaluation process."

DeAndre Moore Jr. gives Colorado a target with experience.

After three seasons at Texas, Moore moved to Boulder, playing in 37 games and making 18 starts.

While he was with the Longhorns the 6-foot-190-pound receiver caught 77 passes for 988 yards and 11 touchdowns. His best season was in 2025 when he made 38 receptions for 532 yards and four touchdowns.

As Colorado reconstructs its passing game with a number of new players, it will need that kind of big-play ability. Since he was rated a four-star transfer and the sixth best wide receiver in the portal by 247Sports, Moore is one of the most important players to have joined the Buffaloes' offense.

Boo Carter brings talent and personality to the secondary.

Carter comes from Tennessee where he has a reputation for being a physical and versatile defensive back. He was awarded SEC All-Freshman status in 2024 and received the distinction of Freshman of the Week when Tennessee played Florida. He also got preseason All-SEC honors before the 2025 season.

Boo was ranked a four-star transfer and the fourth-rated safety by 247Sports. He was heavily recruited by Deion Sanders prior to choosing the Vols. The experience he has gained playing against SEC teams should prove beneficial to a Colorado defense that is going to have to assemble quickly.

It is especially noteworthy that he appears on the list since he is still an underclassman. Among the 300 prospects in the Senior Bowl, 100 were underclassmen and were included because they might become eligible for the NFL draft if they decided to leave college early.

To be included in the Top 300 is only the first stage; it doesn't ensure that Moore or Carter will be invited to the Senior Bowl, and players who were omitted from the preseason list are still able to earn a spot in the game.

"This season is critical as we continue to evaluate these players," Fabianich said. "Our scouts will be on the road every week, and we expect this list to evolve as the season unfolds."
