We all agree that phone call prank by Jax Ulbrich during the draft was messed up.

But what happened and how Shedeur responded tells you everything you need to know about him.

He didn’t explode. Didn’t post some cryptic tweet. Didn’t make it about himself. Instead, he said, “It’s okay. People make mistakes.”

That’s rare. That’s grown. That’s Shedeur.

Most players would’ve gone straight to their ego. Aaron Rodgers famously stewed for years with bitterness after his slide to #24. But Shedeur? He kept it simple, focused, and respectful.

Buffs fans already knew what kind of leader he was. We’ve watched him carry the weight of a program, take hit after hit behind a bad O-line, and never once blame his teammates (contrary to that anonymous quote).

And now, with the world watching, he handled one of the toughest moments of his life with some serious grace and maturity.

The Browns didn’t just get a quarterback in the fifth round. They got a leader and the kind of guy you want turning around Cleveland.

That moment made me want to root for Shedeur even more. When life took a cheap shot, he stood tall and said, “It’s OK.”
