The Colorado Buffaloes football staff officially announced Andreu Swasey as the new head of strength and conditioning. Swasey brings a wealth of experience to Boulder, having previously served as the head strength and conditioning coach at the University of Miami for 15 years, as well as a stint at Florida International University.

Swasey's addition to the Buffs’ staff signals a major shift in how Colorado approaches player conditioning. These changes were highlighted recently as the Buffaloes underwent rigorous military-style training sessions in January, to instill discipline and mental toughness. Led by the Naval Special Warfare Center in collaboration with CU Boulder's Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC).

Swasey's résume includes working with NFL players like Kamara, Frank Gore, and Andre Johnson so this guy knows exactly what it takes to prepare players for the next level. If Colorado wants to compete at a high level, it starts in the weight room—and Swasey is the perfect guy to lead that charge.
