Colorado football has been in the national spotlight for three years under head coach Deion Sanders. Apparently, even some of the Buffaloes opponents are tuning in.
During Big 12 Media Days last week, West Virginia wide receiver Jaden Bray spoke with reporters and admitted he’s a regular viewer of Well Off Media, the YouTube channel ran by Deion Sanders Jr.

“How could you not keep up with Colorado football?” Bray said. “They got Well Off Media — that’s one of the biggest things on YouTube right now — so I always keep up. I’m always watching throughout the week because it’s cool to see you guys working.”
Bray, who began his career at Oklahoma State before transferring to West Virginia last year, offered praise for Coach Prime and what he’s built in Boulder since taking over a 1-11 team in 2022.
“Y’all coming,” he said. “Especially Deion and stuff like that, it’s always great just looking back on what y’all did in the past two years since he’s been here. That whole revamp has just been great to watch.”
Colorado and West Virginia are scheduled to meet on Nov. 8 in Morgantown, and Bray’s comments suggest the Buffs are no longer just another team on the schedule.
“Y’all are always the most viewed game that’s always on,” Bray said. “It’ll always be great to play you guys.”
Bray added that even with Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter now in the NFL, Colorado hasn’t lost its visibility.
“Even with Shedeur and Travis not being there, I don’t really feel like it’s taking away the limelight,” he said. “If anything, it’s put more light on them because everyone wants to know how they’re gonna do.”
Bray’s current team is also undergoing a major rebuild.
West Virginia brought back head coach Rich Rodriguez this offseason and has brought in over 50 new transfers, following a similar path to what we've done in Boulder.
That parallel isn’t lost on Bray. While the admiration is clear, the Mountaineers (and any team in the conference) are going to want to beat Colorado even more.
It’s still the offseason, and talk is cheap until the pads come on. But Bray’s comments offer a clear sign of how far the Buffs have come under Coach Prime.
Three years ago, Colorado wasn’t on the radar for any opponents. Now, players across the conference are tuning in to see what happens next.
Colorado and West Virginia will meet in a pivotal late-season matchup. But before kickoff ever arrives, the Buffs have already earned a different kind of win — respect.
