Colorado Football: Super six shine at Colorado Pro Day

It’s that time of year again when the best and brightest of Colorado Football gets featured for NFL Pro Day. Representatives from NFL teams came out to Boulder to capture 6 athletes from Colorado, where they showed off their suburb talent and athleticism to the scouts. Here are the unofficial numbers that they posted.

Starting with Kary Kutsch weighing in at 297 pounds, he carries a wingspan of 79 1/8”, an arm length of 32 3/8”, and 10 1/8” hands. He put up a vertical jump unofficially of 31 inches. Bench pressed 29 reps and jumped for 8’10” on the broad jump, and ran for 5.19 in the 40-yard dash. His split times were 1.83 at the 10-yard mark, 3.16 at the 20-yard mark. Kutsch’s 20-yard shuffle was 4.63, and his three cone numbers were 7.90.

Matt Lynch weighed in at 240 pounds with an arm length of 32”, 10 2/8” hands, and a wingspan of 77 2/8”. He bench pressed for 11 reps, and jumped for 31.5 inches on the vertical jump, and had 9’11 in the broad jump. Lynch ran for a 4.71 in the 40-yard dash. 1.70 was his 10-yard split. 2.76 was his 20-yard split number. He scored a 4.34 in the 20-yard shuffle, and a 7.00 in the three cone skills.

Nate Landman weighed in at 234 pounds. He has already put in a nice showing at the NFL Combine, but opted out of a few events there to show off today at Pro Day. In his 40 at the combine he ran a time of 4.85. His 10 yard split was 1.69 seconds. In the broad jump he went up for 9’11, and had a vertical of 36.5 inches. On Pro Day he finally did the the bench press and lifted for 20 reps. His arm length is 30 6/8”, 9 1/8” hands, and his wingspan is 76 5/8”. He did not run the dash again today but he did the 20-yard shuffle with a time of 4.32, and the three cones with a time of 6.88.

Carson Wells weighed in at 241 pounds with an arm length of 32 5/8”, 9 4/8” hands, and a wingspan of 79 4/8”.  He benched pressed a total of 16 reps and soared up for 35 inches on the vertical jump. Carson ran the 40-yard dash at a first run of 4.56, and a second run time of 4.66. In the broad jump he jumped for 9’9. 10-yard dash he ran in at 1.64, and 2.73 on the 20. He completed the 20-yard shuffle with a time of 4.51. In the three cone skills he got a 7.11. Wells is projected at possibly a top 5 round pick in this upcoming NFL Draft. He was shining star in the Shrine Bowl this year. We can’t wait to see what big things come for this man.

Akil Jones weighed in at 227 pounds with a arm length of 31 2/8”, 8 6/8” hands, and a 75” wing span. He had 16 reps on the bench press then jumped for 29.5 inches on the vertical jump, and 9’4 on the broad jump. Jones ran the 40-yard dash at a speed of 4.86. A 10 split time at 1.75, and a 20 split time at 2.89. He came in at 4.55 at the 20-yard shuffle, and 7.18 at the three cone event.

Mustafa Johnson weighed in at 288 pounds with an arm length of 31 5/8”, hands at 10 1/8”, and a wing span of 77 4/8”. He put up an impressive 29 reps on the bench press. Jumped for 31 inches on the vertical jump, and 8’10” on the broad jump. Johnson then ran a 5.19 on the 40-yard dash. At the 10-yard split he was at 1.83, and the 20-yard split he was at 3.16. His time for the 20-yard shuffle was 4.63 and 7.90 for the three cone skill.
