Deion Sanders’ alma mater, Florida State, “clearly” holds animosity for the Colorado football head coach says Footballscoop’s Zach Barnett, who was responding to the spat Coach Prime found himself in with former FSU quarterback Danny Kanell after the latter said the former had a “lack of respect for the school that gave him his start.”

“Either way, Sanders clearly holds a level of animosity toward Florida State, and Florida State certainly holds a high level of animosity toward arguably the greatest player to ever wear the garnet and gold,” Barnett wrote.

There’s certainly no love lost between Florida State and Sanders after Coach Prime said he was not a Nole but instead repped HBCU Talladega College in Alabama. Or before. When Sanders flipped No. 1 overall 2022 recruit Travis Hunter, as Barnett points out, a Change.org petition to un-retire Coach Prime’s No. 2 was put into motion by an angry Seminoles fan.

What did Deion Sanders say during Colorado football press conference about not being a Nole?

During a Colorado football press conference, a reporter claimed that Sanders “is a Nole” and doubled down on it when Coach Prime initially questioned her; saying “You are a Nole” when discussing Sanders being around too many Hurricanes.

“Prime Time” had an answer that is going to set the narrative moving forward that perhaps Florida State isn’t the next option in his coaching career.

“No, no, no…actually, do you know where I graduated from? I graduated from an HBCU,” Sanders prefaced before asking, “So I’m a who? No, I’m a who? I thought it’s where you graduated from, isn’t it? Why do you keep calling me that when you know where I graduated from? I’m an HBCU grad.”

Buffs fans can only be excited to see the bridge between Sanders and the Seminoles incinerated before their very eyes. Boulder could possibly become the long-term play with the Big 12 jump looming.
