Travis Hunter and his fiancée, Leanna Lenee, have been under fire ever since the infamous on-camera conflict the two had following the end of the Oklahoma State game in Week 14. The heat was turned up on the two when video caught Coach Prime having to nudge Lenee to stand during Hunter's Heisman Trophy win last Saturday.
Rapper Bow Wow even chimed in, claiming that everyone is merely trying to wake Hunter up to his situation by criticizing his fiancee.
"I was once young. I was making a lot of money," Bow Wow said. "And I know how this sh*t go. What we are doing is waking you up, young brother."
247 Sports' Tyler Geis defended Hunter and Lenee from the criticism of her comment on Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards further causing an uproar on social media.
"It's kind of strange that a majority of people want a college star who is about to go to the NFL to break things off with a girl he's been with for a while. But social media now seems to have evidence that she may not be the real deal for him," Geis wrote.
"Hunter may want to defend his fiancee now, but their future could become a major decision for him later."
Hunter's relationship issues were not publicized much during his time at Jackson State and Colorado, but the fact that cameras have caught certain things has made his life a lot harder. No. 12 addressed the rumors in a video showing how it has affected him. Lenee has done the same.
This figures to amplify exponentially in the NFL.
