Cam Newton won't let Colorado football fans live in peace.

Just a day after the Buffs landed Class of 2025 blue-chip QB Julian Lewis, Newton claimed that Deion Sanders still isn't a long-term fixture in Boulder; despite Coach Prime saying he's got a kickstand down in Colorado.

“No, absolutely not,” said Newton when asked if Lewis's commitment means Sanders is staying at CU (h/t On3). “What I will say is, no, Deion is not committed to staying at Colorado with this being a sign. What I do see is – like Deion said before. He said, ‘I’m coming in with baggage. And that baggage so happens to Louis Vuitton. So, no matter wherever Deion Sanders goes, he’s coming with great baggage, by the way, and he’s setting the parameters of what’s to be.”

Newton may be a Colorado hater, but he is far from a hater of Coach Prime. Quite the opposite. Newton said Sanders is the "biggest threat" to college football since Nick Saban -- and may be an even bigger threat since he's relatable to recruits.

“I would like to say this about Deion Sanders,” Newton said. “Deion Sanders is the greatest threat to college football. I will say this again. Deion Sanders is the greatest threat to college football since Nick Saban. And he may even be more threatening than Nick Saban because Deion Sanders has relatability.”

Lewis keeps Coach Prime in Colorado for at least another year if the two don't go as a package deal elsewhere.

Sanders isn't going to stay at CU forever. His future will be a question mark every waking moment until he makes his next move.
