Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders delivered on the promise he made to his football team during their Friday meeting.

That promise? To show up and support Colorado's women's basketball team.

Prime was spotted with newly hired offensive coordinator Brennan Marion, deep in conversation with Rick George before tipoff.

Coach Prime challenged his student athletes to attend a crucial Big 12 game between the Texas Tech and Colorado women's basketball teams.

A lively crowd of a bout 4,800 showed up to watch JR Payne's team outscore the Red Raiders 22-9 in the fourth quarter, capturing their 20th win of the season.

With the win, Colorado women's basketball has now won 20+ games for five straight seasons. They've also won eight of their last nine as they head into their final two regular season games against Utah and at BYU.

It's been interesting watching how Coach Prime and his staff have approached this offseason compared to previous years.

We touched on how Deion is becoming more hands-on with his team and getting them more involved—not only with each other, but with other things on campus, like showing up to support the women's basketball team Saturday night.

It's been a culture reset

Prime wasn't around much last spring to run operations and get a feel for what was going on, but now you see him becoming more personal with the players—even showing up to wide receiver transfer Ernest Campbell's track meets.

We are exactly one week away from the start of Colorado's start of spring practices on Mar. 2 and roughly 47 days until their Black & Gold spring game on Apr. 11. Follow Glory Colorado on X for all the news and updates.
