Several players impressed at the 2025 NFL Combine over the weekend in Indianapolis while others may have tanked their draft stock, one of the most impressive of the day in the wide receiver group was Jimmy Horn Jr.
Former Colorado Buffaloes' wide receiver Jimmy Horn Jr. ran a 4.46 40-yard dash at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine on Saturday and was able to show flashes of greatness in the drills over the weekend event as well.
During his final season with the Colorado, Horn Jr. finished the season with 441 receiving yards and one touchdown while missing most of November due to injury. In Horn's first season he caught the ball for 558 yards and three scores.
At 5’8, 174 pounds, the Colorado WR is undersized and not the prototype of an NFL receiver but he makes up for it in route running, explosiveness and creating YAC in open space.
Another former Colorado wide receiver LaJohntay Wester ran a 4.46 his 40-yard dash time. The 5'11 177 pound vertical deep threat is projected to be selected in Day three of the NFL Draft along with Horn Jr.

ESPN NFL draft analysts Matt Miller and Jordan Reid named Jimmy Horn Jr. as one of eight "rising prospects" from the Shrine Bowl this off-season:
Here's what Reid wrote on Horn's rising NFL draft stock.
It didn't take long for Horn's quickness to stand out in practice, and he complemented that with strong hands, consistently plucking the ball out of the air. He was especially dominant during team periods in the red zone. Despite being only 5-foot-8 and 171 pounds, Horn consistently got separation and showed an ability to defeat man coverage.

Between his time a USF and Colorado, Horn Jr accumulated 162 receptions for 1,967 yards and 11 touchdowns. I believe Horn will likely be selected between rounds 6-7 along with his teammate La'Johntay Webster.
Here is the final scouting report on Jimmy Horn Jr from Lance Zierlein of NFL Network
"Horn is small but competitive and has the speed to make teams pay attention. The target rate and production dipped in 2024, but the hands and catch consistency were vastly improved from 2023. He needs to prove he can uncover against a more athletic and physical brand of coverage in the league. Horn catches in traffic without hesitation and has the wiggle and gas to hit a big play once it is in his hands. The size and durability will concern teams, but he’s fast and fearless, which will appeal to squads looking to stretch the field from the slot"
