Travis Hunter wants to be featured in 'Heisman House' commercial next season

Nissan's "Heisman House" commercials started in 2011, showing off Nissan's lineup of cars alongside college football's top premier players who had recently won the Heisman Trophy.

Last year's commercial, titled “Frozen in Time,” featured Robert Griffin III shows the 2024 Heisman winner and NFL Rookie of The Year Jayden Daniels heading to his new room. On their way, they stopped by a cryotherapy room to unthaw Reggie Bush who said he “lost track of time in there.”

Hunter has totaled 92 receptions for 1,152 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, leading the Big 12 Conference in both touchdowns and receptions. Hunter has also had a 100-plus receiving yard game in seven games this season.

As a cornerback, Hunter has four interceptions, a conference-best 11 passes defended and 32 combined tackles, helping him win Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year honors.

"And guess what, man? Those Heisman commercials with me and you on defense against all of those offensive players, we're going to have some fun. The Heisman House is going to be lit. Congratulations to you, man."

Hunter met with the media at the 2025 NFL Combine in Indianapolis, Indiana and they asked the former Heisman Trophy Winner about the "Heisman House" commercials and if he would like to be a part in campaign next season per Chris Tomasson.

The two-way star said Thursday he is not going work out with defensive backs on Friday or receivers on Saturday at the NFL's annual scouting combine at Lucas Oil Stadium. Hunter will wait until pro day at Colorado. He played in Boulder the past two years after spending his freshman season at Jackson State.
