Deion Sanders believes Travis Hunter's injury played a role in Colorado's loss to K-State
Folsom Field was filled with many concerned faces after Travis Hunter left the game in the second quarter after a 14-yard interception due to a fierce hit from K-State safety Daniel Cobbs.
Hunter is undoubtedly the star player of the Buffs roster, playing almost every snap and scoring big touchdowns and interceptions in each game. His exit due to a right shoulder injury certainly affected CU in the rest of the game, even becoming a potential reason for their 31-28 loss to K-State.
"Certainly, losing Travis and Jimmy and others was tremendous because they're a vital part of our team, a vital part of our identity," Coach Prime said (h/t ESPN). "They're a vital part of who we are. So that took a blow. That took a lot out of us."
As of now, no updates on the seriousness of Hunter's, or others' injuries.
Colorado suffered multiple injuries against K-State
Hunter's injury was not the only major blow that Coach Prime and Co. suffered on Saturday. Along with the two-way star, other key players also went down.
Jimmy Horn Jr., CU's second-leading receiver with 347 yards this season, "exited the game in the second quarter because of an unspecified injury," reported ESPN.
Along with Horn Jr. Omarion Miller and Terrell Timmons Jr. also went out because of an injury. If any or all of these players, especially Hunter, might have to sit the next game, it might cost Colorado another game.
