Deion Sanders claims K-State's biggest strengths remind him of North Dakota State

Deion Sanders knows what their next game has in store for them too well: a dynamic QB leading an equally explosive offense, and an almost impenetrable defense. Sanders knew all these strengths of Chris Klieman and Co. could potentially be their kryptonite this Saturday, just like it was a few weeks back against North Dakota State.

"They're consistent. They're not going to beat themselves," Prime said on "Coach Prime's playbook with Romi Bean." "I think they only average maybe three to five penalties a game so they're not going to beat themselves in that realm. They do what they need to do in the moment."

But what does all of this have to do with North Dakota State? When the Bison brought their best quality, their consistency, Coach Prime was concerned the most from a competition perspective.

"They're not going to overwhelm you with this or that, but these guys are consistent. They're a lot like North Dakota State. North Dakota State didn't do anything to beat themselves and we expect the same sentiment," Sanders said.

CU managed to beat the NDSU's consistency in their season-opener and they are expecting the same for this Saturday's matchup.

Coach Prime's resemblance is particularly interesting, as Klieman was the head coach of North Dakota State before he overtook K-State.

Deion Sanders addresses biggest concerns about K-State

K-State head coach Chris Klieman gave his impression of Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders and how it would be a task for them to limit him.

Now, it was Sanders' turn to speak about K-State QB Dylan Edwards, the CU transfer whom Coach Prime has taught since he was a kid.

"Their quarterback is very versatile. He's mobile. He can throw. He can run. They have one of the best running backs in the country, I feel that. Dylan coming in to give him rest," Prime said about Edwards, who will be returning to Boulder after he left it in 2023, but this time to play against the Buffs.

"And the defense doesn't really give up too many explosions. I like what they put on tape. It really is. You looking there you trying to find holes in everything they do and they're well coached. They're tremendously coached. It's going to be a task," Prime said, lauding Coach Klieman's team.

With both head coaches thrilled for the game, this one against Kansas State will be a thrilling ride. If it continues to mirror the NDSU game, it'll be a good sign for the Buffs.
