Deion Sanders to Cowboys move could be draft-altering bombshell

Deion Sanders has been the talk of the town ever since he and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones reportedly spoke about the potential of Coach Prime taking over the Cowboys head coaching job.

A common argument against this potential, though, is that Sanders has insisted on playing with his sons, and will not coach an NFL squad without them. The problem? The Cowboys aren’t in a position to draft his son, QB Shedeur Sanders.

This could all change, though. Dawg Pound Daily's Candace Padraza speculates that a Sanders move to Dallas could mean that the Browns will be offered a trade for their second overall pick.

“A Sanders hire could really push Dallas to take a big swing on their future with a trade offer to land that pick,” writes Pedraza. “It'd be asinine, but Jones seems bent on trying to make the Cowboys both better & more relevant with most of his decision-making.”

Pedraza even goes as far as to speculate that the Browns would trade their pick away for Dak Prescott, though even she acknowledges this possibility as “unlikely" -- especially with “Prescott's value tanking a bit the last few seasons.” That doesn’t mean it’s entirely impossible, though.

To me, this possibility seems ridiculous. If it were any team besides the Jerry Jones-owned Cowboys. With them, there’s little I’d doubt.

That said, if this happens as Pedraza predicts, it would change not only the Cowboys and the Buffaloes, but the NFL Draft, and likely the 2025 season, as a whole.
