Deion Sanders to Cowboys 'would work' better than to Raiders

The talks of Deion Sanders making a seismic move to the NFL are hanging up in the balance and the Cowboys are heavyweight frontrunners in the quest to get Deion Sanders.

An enamored Jerry Jones has already communicated his wish to get Sanders on board. Not completely against the idea, Sanders admitted being "intrigued" with one condition: he wants to coach his sons in the NFL.

The Raiders are highly rumored to draft Shedeur Sanders. Interestingly, they also have a coaching vacancy which makes the situation a perfect fit for the Sanders family.

Yet, Sanders would be better suited with the Cowboys than to the Raiders. The reason? Sanders is a better answer to their problems.

The Guardian's Oliver Connolly names owner Jones as the Cowboys' biggest problem. More precisely, his need to be "seen to run things."

Coach Prime's influence as the youth icon is preponderating enough to subdue Jones.

"Perhaps Sanders would be happy to coach the Cowboys without Shedeur," Connoly writes.

"Maybe that’s where Sanders makes sense. He is one of the few people with the football and cultural cache to stand up to Jones’s way of doing things. He may not be able to call time on Jones’s public prognostications, but Sanders’s magnetism would give Jones’s views less oxygen.

"He will still bark, but Sanders will shrug it off with a smile. It would probably devolve into a farce, but Sanders has proved adept enough at the media game to ride out pointless, energy-sapping storms."

If Sanders really wishes to have both, coach his son in the NFL and be the Cowboys head coach, he could simply pull an Eli Manning move he had been talking about since the beginning of the College Football season.

It all depends solely on whether Prime decides to stay in Boulder or wants to have a homecoming at Dallas.
