Deion Sanders Jr. keeps hilarious receipt from when Colorado football was doubted
Deion Sanders Jr. shared a glorious receipt from a prominent Twitter account that had a visceral reaction to Colorado getting primetime television network slots on College Football Saturdays from back in September.
Bucky shared the rant and simply said, "Damn."
The account shared a freezing cold take from back before the Nebraska game that the Buffs wouldn't be deserving of the attention they were getting.
"The Prime era at Colorado is quickly becoming a disaster," the account wrote. "Nobody is going to be interested in a sub par team with a bunch of sore losers, and a coach more interested in making his sons rich than winning football games.
"Maybe the goal is some 3d chess move to get people to hate watch them. Other than that, not sure how this trash squad is going to keep their national tv slots."
Whoops. Colorado is 6-2 and in the hunt for the Big 12 Championship and a College Football Playoff bid now.
Colorado football is doing the big things and the small things
CU has two Heisman contenders, but they had that last season and were 4-8. Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter can only win you so many games. It takes a full-team effort to be where the Buffs are now.
Luckily, that's what Colorado is getting. As Late Kick's Josh Pate explained, doing the little things, like holding the line of scrimmage, blocking, and running, goes a long way.
"Shedeur & Hunter are predictably having big years," Pate tweeted. "But Colorado has run the ball better & greatly improved defensively. Shedeur & Hunter are predictably having big years. But Colorado has run the ball better & greatly improved defensively."
When the entire roster is in alignment, that means there's good management from the top down. Deion Sanders is a brilliant boss at the top, and it's trickling down to every aspect of the program.
