As the defensive side of the ball is completely depleted, Colorado will be trying to add to that room as soon as possible.

As of today (January 2nd), the NCAA transfer portal is officially open, so make sure you follow along for all the latest Colorado Buffaloes news.

A Colorado offer has been extended to FCS All-American defensive lineman Andrew Zock, who has spent the past two seasons at Mercer.

Zock is currently rated a three-star transfer prospect on 247Sports.

The defensive lineman appeared in all 12 games for the Bears this past season, recording 23 quarterback hurries and two forced fumbles.

Not to mention, he recorded a team-high 11.5 sacks and 20 tackles for loss. He finished the season with 46 total tackles, 24 of which were solo.

Among the 30 finalists for the Buck Buchanan Award, presented annually to the national defensive player of the year in Division 1 FCS, was Zock.

In the Second Round of the FCS Football Championship Playoffs, the Mercer Bears lost 47-0 to the South Dakota Coyotes. Mercer finished the regular season 9-3.

Zock recorded six tackles in the loss.

The defensive lineman, originally committed to Navy, spurned their offer after learning they planned to send him to a prep school for a year.

Zock also has a scheduled visit lined up with Toledo.
