Deion Sanders made headlines in December when he stated “The Giants are not going to give up [the first overall] pick… Shadeur’s going to be the number one pick.” That didn’t exactly stand as planned.
As it stands now, the Tennessee Titans find themselves with both the first overall pick after an abysmal season and a desperate need for change– and Coach Prime is more than happy to feed into that program.
Sanders started his appearance on the “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” podcast by sharing his love for the Music State.
“First of all, no state tax, new stadium going in, beautiful city. I love it. I really do," Sanders said, per A to Z Sports.
He went on to disparage the media about their involvement in the draft and their effect on the “strategic game” that is a football career, describing this time of the year as “positioning time.”
Finally, Coach Prime sounded off on those who pit him and his son Shedeur against Cam Ward, the other main QB listed to go high in the draft.
“But what I love is you got all three of those are like my boys, like they’re my babies,” Sanders stated. “Like even Cam, they have the same trainer. Darrell (Colbert Jr.) trains both of them. So if you’re hating on Shedeur, that means you got to uplift Cam. If you’re hating on Cam, that means you got to uplift Shedeur or you got to bring somebody else in the fold which you know better than that. So I love the way all this is transpiring because it's still going to be one of our kids. And we're going to do the draft in Boulder, Colorado, in the gymnasium with a packed house in front of all the students.”
Coach Prime is clearly excited about this prospect, stating that once one of his “kids” is drafted, there will be “pandemonium” in Boulder.
