Colorado fans can perhaps breathe a sigh of relief. Head coach Deion Sanders has made it clear that he's not going anywhere.
Coach Prime is instead "focused on bringing the Big 12 title back to Boulder." “When I start something I finish we are building something special," Sanders according to Dalvin Truth on X.
Former Dallas star and a close friend of Deion Sanders, Adam Pacman Jones, strongly backed Sanders' words during his appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.
"Deion is not leaving Colorado by no means necessary. Unless he was able to coach both his sons, but I don't think that's possible," Jones said.
Given the connections Prime has, he could easily pull some strings to make an Eli Manning-esque move for either of his sons. However, Jones was pretty sure Coach Prime would stay in Colorado instead.
So confident that he even named the next possible head coaches of both teams rumored to be in talks with Sanders.
"First and foremost, the next Dallas Cowboys head coach is going to be Kelly Moore," Jones said. "Sources say Ben Johnson is going to be the Raiders coach," he further added.
"I think it was good entertainment but I don't think Deion is going to Jerry world."
Sanders staying in Colorado makes the most sense. Colorado became a favotire for several five-star and four-star players this season, all because of Prime.
Sanders had the very foundation of what he built at Boulder at stake by mere consideration of leaving for the NFL. Not to mention the ugly aftermath that would follow if Prime left. It was after a long time that the Buffs went 9-4.
If Sanders stays a couple more years, he could easily forge a solid College Football Playoff-worthy team in Boulder.
