The media has been abuzz lately with the news that Colorado football head coach Deion Sanders had reportedly spoken to Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones about their head coaching vacancy.

“Sources: Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has spoken with Colorado HC Deion Sanders about the team’s head coaching vacancy, and discussions are expected to continue regarding the possibility of him becoming the next head coach in Dallas," FOX Sports’ Jordan Schultz wrote.

He went on to write that "Coach Prime is considered a top candidate, though the Cowboys plan to interview other candidates as part of the process, per team sources.

"Deion Sanders has long publicly dismissed any interest in coaching in the NFL — but this was one call he wasn’t going to ignore. Sanders is listening, and talks are expected to continue as Jerry Jones explores the possibility of bringing Coach Prime to the NFL, per multiple sources."

This news ignited a storm on social media,  that Jones and Sanders were using each other for clout and attention.

One industry executive isn’t so sure.

Jeremy Bloom, an ex-Buffalo and CEO of the X Games wrote in a tweet that “[His] take… If offered by the Cowboys, Prime will leave for Dallas.”

Bloom’s tweet was met with mixed reviews, with many maintaining that yes, Sanders would join the Cowboys if given the right paycheck; though others aren’t so sure.

A user on X pointed out that “He just said again last night he’s going to stay,” while others pointed to the fact that Sanders has maintained that he’ll only coach a pro team if his sons are on the roster, and the Cowboys are not popular candidates to land QB Shedeur Sanders.

Whatever the case, it’s clear that this opportunity will likely, in fact, present itself to Coach Prime. As to if he’ll take the job or not, well, only time will tell.
