FanSided's Wynston Wilcox believes Deion Sanders is doing the right thing pursuing Liberty transfer Kaidon Salter in the transfer portal. Wilcox isn't concerned about Salter's potential side effects on Julian Lewis or Colorado football's QB situation.

"Kaidon Salter, who announced his plans to transfer from Liberty, is setting up his visits and Colorado made the list, according to On3. The Buffaloes are in the market for a quarterback and Salter could be a great replacement," Wilcox wrote.

"For one, he has experience so Sanders won’t have to turn to Lewis day one. But it also creates some competition. At best, Lewis challenges Salter for the starting job if he chooses Boulder and becomes a mentor for a season in the process.

"At worst, Lewis beats out Salter and it was a win-win situation anyway. Sanders is active in keeping Colorado competitive, not just in the Big 12, but reaching the ultimate goal of playing in the College Football Playoff."

Coach Breeze, of the "Coolin it w/ Coach Breeze" podcast, strongly voiced a dissenting opinion; claiming that Salter would be a "bad business move" with Lewis in tow.

"Bad business move. They already have their guy of the future, unless his plan is to potentially go to Colorado for a year while they get Julian Lewis ready… and Deion Sanders, Kaidon Salter, and Julian Lewis are all in on and agree with the plan," Coach Breeze tweeted.

The issue comes down to whether or not this would upset Lewis. If so, Coach Prime spent all the resources in the world, and Shedeur Sanders gave his blessing, just to upset his future franchise star.

If Lewis approves, Salter should be a go. If he doesn't, Deion needs to trust his pillar or else risk losing all of CU's future prospects.
