Deion Sanders going to the NFL will never stop populating news cycles. The latest round of Coach Prime possibilities came from the New York Daily News' Pat Leonard and involves the Giants drafting Shedeur and poaching Sanders from Colorado football.

"If the Giants draft Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders in the NFL Draft’s first round this April, his father, Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, would immediately become a candidate to be the Giants’ next head coach," Leonard wrote.

"It’s a simple connecting of dots:

"Brian Daboll is on borrowed time entering his fourth Giants season, with John Mara asking him to give up offensive play-calling while Mara was simultaneously praising GM Joe Schoen’s process coming off a 3-14 season."

We all just got over the Dallas Cowboys rumors, with Jerry Jones using the media using Coach Prime's name just to hire Brian Schottenheimer.

The Las Vegas Raiders also evaporated as a potential landing spot with Pete Carroll returning to the sport for the Sin City job.

But the Giants haven't been linked. Until now.

With how downtrodden the franchise has been since the infamous boat photo, New York could do far worse than Sanders, even though the Colorado coach lacks experience. But that's not the kind of move the Giants historically make.

Having won two championships in the last two decades, the G-Men don't need to be drastic. Hiring Coach Prime would be as drastic of a move as it gets.

It's a fun thought, but the NYDN is just connecting the logical thoughts during prime NFL speculation season.
