Colorado football head coach Deion Sanders recently came to the defense of Aaron Donald -- showing receipts of trolls who questioned the Los Angeles Rams legend before he even made his NFL debut -- and Awful Announcing's Reice Shipley believes it was "pretty accurate."

"Funny enough, a number of the tweets screenshotted by Sanders were actually just trolls that had commented negative things about Donald recently," Shipley prefaced before saying, "But Sanders’ sentiment is pretty accurate, as there were plenty of others who actually did disagree with Schefter at the time."

Sanders pointed out that even ESPN's Adam Schefter has haters while dismissing the Donald putdowns.

"Our critics have critics so why do we listen to critics! Adam Schefter has always kept it (100) and his info comes from everyone that's as close as your shadow! Wow these idiots really missed on this 1 huh," Sanders tweeted.

Deion Sanders shaking off criticism as Colorado football head coach

What Coach Prime has faced as the head coach at Colorado has been unprecedented. Before his Buffs played a single game, Sanders was the subject of rampant criticism. That only ramped up when his Buffs started winning games, and it reached its zenith when CU lost eight of its last nine games.

It's nothing new for Sanders after being a highly outspoken and undoubtedly polarizing player with the Dallas Cowboys, Baltimore Ravens, and Atlanta Falcons. But being attacked during the middle of the offseason unprovoked certainly is.

Sanders has largely countered the hate with grace, but evidently, it's gotten to him. Why else would he be defending not only Donald, but also Schefter? To make a point, apparently.

Sanders respects the pro sports world fraternity, and that extends to those that cover the sport as well. At least those who do right by their coverage like Schefter.
