Big 12 football power rankings after spring portal closes: Did Buffaloes get better?

Coach Prime and his family have talked a big game out all offseason in Boulder, but where do the Buffs realistically stack up in the new-look Big 12? It might not be as high as Sanders and Colorado fans hope.

Last Year: 4-8. Colorado. 11. 514. . . . . . Head Coach: Deion Sanders

Key losses: Dylan Edwards, Anthony Hankerson Key additions: Jordan Seaton, Samuel Okunola, Will Sheppard

If Coach Prime wants to build a winning program at Colorado then he can absolutely do it. He’ll just need to redirect all his time spent bashing former players on social media and put it toward recruiting high school players.

Colorado is built strictly through the transfer portal and last year it was obvious the holes that a year-to-year philosophy of team-building leaves on a roster. Sanders did nothing to fill those holes and now it appears that this season is strictly about getting Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter drafted as highly as possible, not winning football games. That’s actually good news because, with this team, Coach Prime isn’t going to win many football games.
