The entire Week 0 College GameDay panel chose Colorado football to take care of business in Week 1 against North Dakota State at Folsom Field. No hijinks are expected, even though analysts the world over are hoping to pounce on the narratives if Deion Sanders' Buffs were to lose to an FCS team.

Nick Saban lauded Coach Prime before Pat McAfee trolled him with an "Aflac" duck noise; implying that Saban was contractually obligated to support his fellow Aflac spokesperson Sanders. Saban also complimented Shedeur Sanders. WWE's Sheamus made an astute observation about the physicality Colorado added in the trenches.

No one flinched and went for the bait of predicting the beginning of the end for Colorado. You can say College GameDay wasn't broadcasting for clicks when it came to predicting Week 1 in Boulder.

Deion Sanders not given layup with Colorado football Week 1 matchup against North Dakota State

Sanders acknowledged that AD Rick George did his Buffs no favors when North Dakota State was put on the schedule for Week 1.

“I’m mad at Rick George for scheduling them first, couldn’t you have given me a layup?” Sanders asked (h/t On SI).

Sanders' first season didn't have any FCS matchups, so at least things got easier this time around in some sense. In truth, though, NDSU is a better opponent than most of the ACC and much of the Big Ten's bottom half. And possibly Vanderbilt. The Bison are not some FCS pushover in any sense.
