Colorado football stars Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders were projected by The Coloradoan's Scott Procter to have 99 and 96 ratings, respectively, in the upcoming EA Sports College Football 25 video game. Procter also made cases for both to grace the game's cover.

"There's a good argument to be made that Shedeur should be on the cover of 'College Football 25' after he set a school record with 3,230 passing yards and 27 touchdowns to just three interceptions last season," Procter prefaced before saying, "One of college football's top QBs, the Jackson State transfer should be among the highest-rated players in 'College Football 25.' Former Louisville quarterback and first-round draft pick (2014) Teddy Bridgewater, who was one of the top QB prospects in the 2014 NFL Draft, was also a 96 overall in 'NCAA Football 14.'"

"If Shedeur isn't on the cover of 'College Football 25,' then Hunter should be," Procter added of Hunter. "The most versatile athlete in college football is the only FBS player in at least the last 20 seasons to record 100 yards receiving and an interception in the same game (vs. TCU). He racked up 57 catches, 721 yards and five touchdowns on offense to go along with a team-high three interceptions on defense. There was just one 99 overall in "NCAA Football 14:" former South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, the game's only player worth a comparison to Hunter's game-changing ability."

Colorado football has several high-impact transfers coming based on EA Sports College Football 25 ratings projection

There's nothing particularly shocking about Hunter getting a 99 rating, but the fact that Procter projected six players to receive a 90 rating or higher -- and that four of them were from the portal this offseason -- shows how understated Coach Prime and Co.'s transfer haul has been.

Preston Hodge (90 rating) is expected to cover the side of the field Hunter isn't on, while Samuel Okunlola (91) and B.J. Green (92) could give the Buffs an imposing defensive front. Ditto for Tyler Johnson (91) in the offensive trenches.

Let's not discount receivers Will Sheppard (89) and LaJohntay Wester (87) coming from the portal as weapons for Shedeur either.

It's just EA Sports College Football 25 ratings projections, but these players pay attention to what's written of them. You better believe they'll be doing everything to justify any high ratings EA Sports is willing to grant CU.

Expect pretty high ones for the Buffs, though, because it's a near certainty a Colorado representative will be on the game's cover.
