Colorado football will be the featured team in the upcoming EA Sports College Football 25 video game, as ESPN's Chris Fowler and the Blue Blood Bias X account relayed.
"Whatever you pick in the game, you will get a customized National Championship shoutout," Fowler prefaced before saying, "If you pick Coach Prime & the Buffs and win, you might get an EXTRA special shout out."
As BBB points out, Shedeur Sanders' close ties to EA and the "Prime Time" spotlight on CU make exclusive content made specifically for Colorado "no surprise."
"This means that EA has been preparing EXCLUSIVE content just for Colorado, which many users have been requesting due to CU's high profile status," BBB wrote. "The Buffaloes being the most prominent team in the game is no surprise given the close relationships between the Sanders Family & EA.
"Shilo Sanders recently signed a NIL Deal to promote the Video Game, while Coach Prime was the 1st ever Coach to promote the game...Many fans have already speculated that EA Sports reached out to Coach Prime to appear on the cover of CFB 25 weeks ago. And after this announcement, it's looking like a Colorado Cover Athlete is a near GUARANTEE..."
Shedeur Sanders likely to represent Colorado football on EA Sports College Football 25 cover
While where Shedeur ranks in terms of quarterbacks nationally is up for debate, what isn't up for debate is the likelihood the "Grown QB" graces the cover of EA Sports College Football 25 when it's released this summer.
Kirk Herbstreit hinted at No. 2 being the cover athlete before shying away and playing dumb about knowing anything about it.
“I think Shedeur Sanders is a massive name and a big following. I don’t know that,” Herbstreit said, making clear he wasn’t saying he knew Sanders would grace the cover, just that it makes sense (h/t On3).
Yeah yeah Kirk. You don't know that. But you just so happened to name-drop Shedeur and mention no one else.
Whether it's alone or with his father and Travis Hunter, Shedeur is all but certain to be on the cover of EA Sports College Football 25.
