Deion Sanders gives non-answer when asked what NFL teams he'd want for Shedeur, Travis Hunter
Deion Sanders gave a non-answer to Yahoo Sports' Kevin Chestnut when he was asked what NFL franchises he'd want to see his youngest son, Shedeur Sanders, and his top recruit, Travis Hunter, drafted to during the 2025 NFL draft.
"I think I know some people. I think I know franchises and organizations, as well as owners, GMs, and head coaches that are really committed to win. And I know the ones that aren't. You never know how it's going to fall. You don't know what order they're going to fall in. So I'm just letting them know, I know what time it is, man.
"And this is-- you're talking about a child that has a lifelong dream of going to the NFL. And then, you know franchises that are not suitable, that has really not enhanced that dream for some young men, but has really not taken care of that dream for some young men. And next thing you know, two to three years, they're out of the game, all because of location. And that's not fair to a young man. Not at all."
Being put on the spot, Sanders cosplayed as a politician and all but ignored the question. He hinted at knowing the answer but never committed to revealing which franchises are on his no-draft list.
In truth, though, Sanders did the right thing not taking shots at any NFL franchises; potentially burning professional bridges with his Buffs in the process.
Eagles, 49ers, Cowboys, Commanders, Ravens, and Falcons all got okay from Deion Sanders to draft Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter
The Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Commanders, Baltimore Ravens, and Atlanta Falcons were all given the green light from Coach Prime during an appearance on the “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” podcast in late March.
Atlanta, in particular, was given Sanders' blessing after he spoke at length about the Black representation he sees in that city. Philadelphia was given the weakest of any endorsement since Sanders merely agreed with the podcast hosts when the Eagles were deemed a good fit.
The other teams were all teams Coach Prime wore the jersey of during his playing days, so those aren't shockers in the slightest.
