Deion Sanders hints at frustration with one of his sons on Big Noon Kickoff
Deion Sanders joked that his middle son, Colorado safety Shilo Sanders, is "always fighting for dead last" in his power rankings for his children during an appearance on Fox's "Big Noon Kickoff" show. Coach Prime said it with a smile, but there's truth to it.
Shilo is having a year from hell. And it's shone a negative spotlight on the Buffs since his father is the head coach and face of the program.
Shilo Sanders being sued for a 2015 assault while in high school
Of course, the most pressing issue Shilo is dealing with is his legal issues. John Darjean, a security guard at Focus Academies in the Dallas area, is pursuing a major payout for being paralyzed by Shilo after a 2015 assault.
Darjean has made it clear that he's dead-set on getting his $12 million payout.
“I’m not gonna stop until the truth gets out and until I win my $12 million,” Darjean said (h/t USA Today). “They’re trying to make it go away, Deion and Shilo, but I’m going to keep fighting and I won’t ever stop fighting.
“They don’t want the truth to come out, and they’re trying to spin it that I was already injured and he didn’t really do this. It’s a lie. Not one person came and testified on Deion Sanders’ and Shilo Sanders’ behalf. Not one person. And so now they’re trying to get it thrown out in bankruptcy, and I don’t believe that’s gonna happen.”
Shilo Sanders has a trash-talking problem
Meanwhile, since the games have began, Shilo has become infamous for his trash-talk.
Sanders has been violent in his trash-talk at all the wrong times. He was vocal before the Nebraska game just as he was last year against Oregon. Both games had similar results: a multiple-touchdown loss.
There are clearly reasons Shilo is fighting for dead last in Coach Prime's eyes.
