Deion Sanders makes obvious statement about Shedeur Sanders

Shedeur Sanders is Coach Prime's No. 1 concern — obviously, that's his dad! But seriously, Sanders is his biggest worry not because of their father-and-son relationship but of a head coach trying to protect their quarterback kind of relationship. The offensive line will need to do their part and do the dirty work in the trenches, preventing any sacks.

Injuries can not disrupt these team's flow as that'd be the worst way possible to lose games — they just hurt the most. Losing with the roster 100% percent healthy is one thing but losing with injuries is a different beast.

"We got to protect that quarterback," Sanders said (h/t ESPN). "That's No. 1."

Every head coach has to protect their quarterback but this may be deeper than the game of football — it's Coach Prime's loved one, his son. It means more and he'd do anything to complete that task.

However, this was not everything that Sanders said to the media.

Deion Sanders expresses more hype around his son Shedeur

The bond between those two guys is like no other — it's based on one game that they share a love for. It helps them grow closer over time. Coach Prime says that having "the best darn quarterback" makes things lighter for the offensive line.

"What makes it easy to connect with offensive line? Having the best darn quarterback in college football," Sanders said. "Who don't want to come and block for the best quarterback in college football? You got to be a fool if you say, 'I don't want to be seen.'"

Yes, he may just be saying this because it's his son but, at the very least, big-time sports voice Skip Bayless believes in the hype and everything. For what that's worth.

Sanders is projected to be a top overall draft pick — if not selected No. 1.

This should be the last season they share the sidelines together (unless Sanders ends up coaching in the NFL) so let's enjoy the ride.
