Deion Sanders shared another in a long line of consistent messages about his Colorado football while speaking to Joel Klatt as part of a "Big Noon Convo."

Paraphrasing here. *Jordan Belfort voice* I'm not [REDACTED] leaving.

What he actually said to Klatt was more of the same of his post-Black and Gold spring game comments: he isn't a baby daddy, he's a father who paves the way for his kids and doesn't follow them wherever they go.

"Okay, let me start by saying I'm a leader of men, not a follower of men," Sanders prefaced before saying, "I'm a father, not a baby daddy. I lead my sons, I don't follow my sons. My sons, Travis included, are getting ready to migrate to the NFL. I'm not following them to the NFL. I'm gonna lead. I'm a daddy, not a baby daddy. I'm a real father. I paved the way for my babies, they're not paving the way for me."

Deion Sanders trying to build legacy in Boulder with Colorado football

Sanders sounds genuine about staying long-term, keeping consistent to his commitment to Colorado in every interview he does.

It's not a stretch to say that Sanders has it (very) very good at CU, getting his friend Warren Sapp hired despite a university pledge not to hire anyone with a background of domestic violence and reeling in record profits while not even traveling for recruiting visits, and he's not going to have it this good anywhere else in the Power 4.

There will be plenty of turnover year to year on the roster and on his staff, and Sanders knows it. We've already seen two new coordinators and another 40-plus person transfer class, and next season, there will be a new QB and one less two-way star when Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter go to the NFL.

But Sanders' legacy will be defined by far more than those around him in his first season at Colorado.
