Buffaloes Wire's Tony Cosolo thinks that Deion Sanders should be believed when he says he plans on sticking with the Colorado football program long after his sons Shedeur and Shilo have moved on to the NFL.

"At least recently, national analysts and rival fanbases have frequently tempered the excitement of the Colorado football faithful by claiming Boulder is merely a stepping stone for head coach Deion Sanders," Cosolo wrote.

"However, I believe it’s time to start listening to Sanders’ repeated pledges of loyalty. Coach Prime isn’t leaving the Buffs anytime soon. After years of fading from the spotlight, the Buffs have become relevant again with Sanders at the helm. Every step of the way, he has professed his love for the city, the mountains, the program and what his coaching staff is building."

Coach Prime most recently reiterated his stance during a "Big Noon Convo" with former Colorado QB-turned-FOX Sports analyst Joel Klatt. Frequently, Sanders has said he won't follow his sons to the NFL because he is a father, not a baby daddy, who paves the way for his kids.

Deion Sanders won't have it as good anywhere else as he has it with Colorado football

While Sanders doesn't like how green the metaphorical grass is in Boulder at times, he very likely knows that the grass will never be greener anywhere else from a professional standpoint.

While rumors of going to Florida or Mississippi State have popped up here and there this offseason, there's a very minimal chance he'd be able to get away with minimal recruiting visits and facetime with power brokers anywhere else but CU.

To the University of Colorado, Coach Prime has already delivered in spades. The on-field product is leaps and bounds improved over where it was at the end of the Karl Dorrell era and the profits and applications are at historic levels.

CU doesn't need much more from Sanders, and in return, the freedom he is granted in his role is something he likely understands won't be offered from most Power 4 programs.

Believe Coach Prime when he says he wants to stay in Boulder. He wouldn't have it as good in any other seat.
