Deion Sanders won't be answering questions from The Denver Post's Sean Keeler at Colorado football events after “a series of sustained, personal attacks." The publication announced the news on August 23.

Sanders first called Keeler out after the Denver Post columnist attempted to ask a question during an explosive August 9 presser; coincidentally one falling on Coach Prime's birthday and the birth of his first grandson.

"You don't like us man," Sanders said to Keeler. "Why do you do this to yourself? It would be hard for me to engage with someone I don't like. What did I do? What happened to get you like this?"

Keeler was boxed out a second time during Warren Sapp's media availability. A cold war has now reached a boil, and it's not a good thing.

Well, it's not a good thing yet.

Deion Sanders' Colorado football program can make amends with media enemies with winning season

Winning would probably end this petty beef.

Sanders has every right to declare silence to any Keeler questions, but that doesn't make it his best play. Coach Prime is above that. Maybe he just doesn't feel like it yet considering Colorado's struggles in 2023.

Once the Buffs reach his goal of six wins and a bowl game, as promised to CU superfan Peggy Coppom at the Black and Goal spring game, he can have a PR victory in the form of a truce with Keeler and The Denver Post.

Keeler has already admitted he had Coach Prime's initial clapback coming. Taking this even further makes it feel like there will be a feel-good payoff eventually. Or The Denver Post will dig in even further and try to dig enough to destroy the program. Who knows.

With less than a week until the season, there's definitely a massive focus on those reporting on the program. Sanders joked that he had gotten off a plane from Saudi Arabia in response to On SI's report of Trevor Reilly trying to solicit an NIL deal from the country the same day.
