Travis Hunter's name is climbing and will only continue to do so after making an appearance on the front cover of EA Sports College Football 25. There has been so much buzz leading up to the release of the game but that has also shot up tremendously — the CFB fans could not be any happier about it.

As promised by Colorado's NIL director, a celebration was in order after the beloved sports phenomenon returned. Fans were in attendance, Hunter was front and center — it was the ideal situation for what's going to likely be his final offseason as a collegiate player.

On SI's Jason Jones relayed Hunter's undefeated record playing EA Sports College Football 25 against a select handful of fans.

"The Buffs standout shared in the excitement during a release party at Buffalo Wild Wing outside of Boulder on Saturday afternoon," Jones prefaced before saying, "A few lucky fans lined up to play Hunter, but none of them walked away with a win. The cover feature highlights the broader significance for the team on a national level. It’s been 11 years since any version of the wildly-popular video game came out and a majority of the team is In the game as EA Sports developers would say."

After reading that statement, Hunter is quite the player not just on the field but off the field — virtually. Those kids tried and that's something we can all commend them for.

Travis Hunter's career extends beyond video games

Hunter is expected to be a goner after the 2024-25 CFB season but rightfully so. He has shown that his two-way talent can be taken to the next level — playing both ends of the ball.

In the future, Hunter will be a part of not just one but two different football games in the eventual creation of Madden 26.

Until then, he has tons of work to do on the field in what's expected to be a redemption year for him and the Buffaloes after falling to a previous season record of 4-8.
