Julian Lewis would earn seven figures in NIL and start at Colorado football in 2025

Plenty awaits Julian Lewis if he flips his commitment from Lincoln Riley's USC Trojans to Coach Prime's Colorado football program. And by plenty, FOX Sports' RJ Young means seven-figure NIL deals and the chance to succeed Shedeur Sanders and start right away in Boulder.

"Perhaps Lewis knows this, like he knows Colorado could be a place where he stands a chance to start right away in 2025 and make seven figures while doing it with an NIL valuation of more than $1 million — the most among high school players in 2024," Young prefaced before saying, "There is a serious push in Boulder to flip him from USC."

Lewis is seen as the biggest hope CU has of continuing to turn the tide in 2025, or for all we know, keeping a level of success the program didn't see in 2023, in the event leaving Los Angeles and the Big Ten is in the cards for him.

The Carrollton QB has interest from all over the map and in every conference, but all over that map, he could be enjoying the fruits of being in the "Prime Time" spotlight; one that's extra bright following up Shedeur under center.

If anything, he'd continue a tradition of highly-compensated CU signal-callers after Shedeur's league-leaning earnings in 2023 and 2024.

Julian Lewis would be in uncharted territory as Colorado football freshman starter

By the time Shedeur had made his way to Colorado, he was a proven entity at Jackson State. Lewis, while a star in 6A Georgia football, has never experienced life against FBS front sevens.

There'd be uncharted territory here. But if Lewis wants unparalleled coverage, his move is CU.

If nothing else, he'll have a veteran offensive line built by the transfer portal. Having older players, and a sophomore year Jordan Seaton, is a sweet deal for a star 2024-25 high school senior who could be under a spotlight from the day he lands in Boulder.
