KOA 850 AM & 94.1 FM's Benjamin Allbright dispelled the Blue Blood Bias X account's claim that Shedeur Sanders is both the consensus projected No. 1 overall 2025 NFL draft pick and that the Denver Broncos are interested in tanking in 2024 to keep the Colorado football star in-market.
Reported by who? "Reportedly," Allbright prefaced before saying, "Someone tell me who reported this? No one?"
BBB made it sound like it was confirmed that Denver had plans to rebuild in 2024 in order to ensure drafting Shedeur with the No. 1 overall selection in April 2025.
"The Denver Broncos are reportedly trying to TANK for QB Shedeur Sanders...In the past week, the Broncos have parted ways with some of their biggest stars in Russell Wilson, Justin Simmons & Jerry Jeudy," BBB prefaced before saying, "With Mediocre Draft positioning this year, & no big-name Free Agent Signings thus far, it's believed that the Broncos are about to undergo a COMPLETE rebuild...
"This means next season will be ROUGH, as many analysts are predicting that Denver will finish with the worst record in the NFL in 2024. However, this would award the Broncos the #1 Overall NFL Draft Pick in 2025, and there's a no-brainer selection at the top of the board...Shedeur Sanders is ranked as the #1 Overall Prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft by experts currently, and it just feels right for the Star QB to stay in Colorado. And who better to lead the Broncos rebuild than a Hometown Hero & Massive Fan Favorite like Shedeur? Demand for season tickets would be SKY HIGH...Not to mention, this move would be great for the Sanders Family. Coach Prime is committed to building the CU program in Boulder, so this move would ensure that Shedeur is close to home. The State of Colorado would instantly become THE place to be in America should this happen...Let the 'Tank for Shedeur' Sweepstakes BEGIN."
Shedeur Sanders to Denver Broncos is more connecting dots than a report
Shedeur to Denver in 2025 is something fans of both the Broncos and Buffs want to see, but at this point, it's more common sense than anything concrete. Denver would be in a world of trouble if word got out that they planned on tanking, while Sanders is certainly not a consensus No. 1 pick with peers like Texas's Quinn Ewers and Georgia's Carson Beck seeing far more success in 2023, and likely to do the same in 2024.
Shedeur can get there, but it's not a "report" by any stretch at this moment.
