Skip Bayless stands in solidarity with fans on Deion Sanders, Colorado football amid CSU drama
Shedeur Sanders set off a never-tapped-in-before controversy by boldly refusing to embrace his opponent QB Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi after Colorado football's 28-9 win over CSU on Saturday. While the storm of criticism is continuing to pour in for Shedeur Sanders, the battle is hardly limited to just the QBs anymore. It is just the repercussion of the Deion Sanders-Jay Norvell battle; brewing up silently since over the last year.
The old-time friend of Coach Prime is at his rescue yet again, reminding people why it is only fair for Coach Prime and his team to take some sharp digs at CSU, just like Deion Sanders Jr. and the CU loyal fans.
"I have no problem with Deion's team trying to rub it in on Jay Norvell's team after what happened before and during the Colorado State-Colorado game last season," Bayless tweeted, taking the fans for a tour down memory lane: how Norvell took a dig at Coach Prime's dressing sense, and worsening it with the claims of Prime's lack of respect of elders in 2023.
While the CU State head coach successfully managed to dodge the drama this time around, the star players of his team fell head-first into it as they trash-talked their hearts out when speaking about the rivalry from the previous season.
Their worst move among it all was bringing out their online popularity in the picture by wanting to see "how far their Instagram followers get them this time." Guess they didn't learn the lesson from Cormani McClain's "clicks" comment and everything that came after it!
Shedeur Sanders, Colorado football get back at CSU with a bang
Everyone heard what Fowler-Nicolosi had to say about Sanders, even the Sanders themselves. However, they decided to stay quiet until they had the Centennial Trophy in their hands. Now, they're dishing out a hearty, sweet revenge.
"Them Instagram followers man, we won AND we got more Instagram followers," Shedeur Sanders said sassily in their locker room celebration, while Travis Hunter joined in with "Them Instagram followers got us far today, ya heard."
Even Deion Sanders threw some shade at the Rams and Norvell as well. Who's to blame? Both Colorado and Colorado State have earned it!
