Sportsbooks are offering odds for Deion Sanders being the first head coach fired during the 2024 college football season; often having longer odds than 50/1, but still somehow being a betable option.

Don't waste your money on that. CU AD Rick George isn't going to fire Coach Prime anytime soon. He may not ever be the one to make such a call.

As On3's Andy Staples said, Sanders would survive a 1-11 season if it came to it.

“I get it. Every coach who takes over a team has to figure that out, but the question is, is Deion trying to win? Because Deion is not going to get fired,” Staples said on the latest episode of Andy Staples On3 (h/t On3's Steve Samra). “Like, he’s not on the — , . Deion Sanders would only get fired if locker room drama got worse

A bombshell report accusing Coach Prime and his Colorado Buffaloes of heinous acts, including hazing and bullying, was released by Athlon Sports' Steve Corder and it barely made news in Boulder. The focus, instead, is on whether Julian Lewis will flip or not and the 2024 season.

Clearly, Sanders isn't going down because of those findings.
