Jimmy Horn Jr. would have never anticipated what Travis Hunter had in store for him on his birthday. As the up-and-coming Colorado football star celebrated his 22nd birthday on September 12, Travis Hunter had a heart-touching message for him.

"Happy birthday family," Hunter captioned his Instagram story, sending the congratulatory message.

And yes, the fans did not miss on Hunter calling his fellow WR and childhood friend "family." Hunter's loving gesture comes off as a symbol of his genuineness, amid the heartbreaking personal events in Horn's life.

Horn's father, Jimmy Horn Sr., has been incarcerated on multiple charges and was sentenced to his imprisonment on August 14, just mere days before Horn Jr. was going to face North Dakota State on August 31.

It was one of the toughest curveballs life had thrown to him in his 22 years, yet the WR fought it like a Pro, making lemonade out of the lemons his life gave him with his blockbuster TD with a career-high 198 yards on seven catches against NDSU.

Well, speaking of touchdowns, Hunter didn't disappoint either, going for the first touchdown of the game and ending it with a hat trick; paired with seven receptions for 132 yards.

Travis Hunter is getting married this May

A CFB win or not, the year is already set to be memorable for Hunter as he and his fiance Leanna Lenee are officiating their wedding on May 24, 2025.

The college sweethearts have already started preparing for the big day with Lenee on the hunt for her perfect wedding dress, per her social media.

Hunter popped the question to her back in 2023, with a $100,000 princess cut ring and perfect beachside backdrop.

Wedding, another possible Paul Hornung trophy on the horizon, and even a possible Heisman Trophy, Hunter is about to live the year of his life.
