Twitter thinks Deion Sanders should be FSU's next head coach -- Colorado football be damned. During a 28-13 loss for the Seminoles to BC on September 2 that moved the Seminoles to 0-2, college football fans were clamoring for Coach Prime to return to the team he played for.
Of course, the problem is that Sanders and Florida State University aren't exactly on the best of terms right now. Footballscoop’s Zach Barnett relayed the mutual animosity between Sanders and the Seminoles.
“Either way, Sanders clearly holds a level of animosity toward Florida State, and Florida State certainly holds a high level of animosity toward arguably the greatest player to ever wear the garnet and gold,” Barnett wrote.
That didn't stop Twitter from linking Sanders and FSU amidst an embarrassing home effort against a multi-score underdog Eagles team.
Will Deion Sanders be the head coach at Florida State at this time next year? 🤔

Deion Sanders could help FSU regain value in conference realignment
It's not likely that Coach Prime would leave CU for any other Power 4 job considering his autonomy in Boulder and the higher likelihood he'd retire from Colorado altogether. But FSU would likely hand him a blank check out of pure desperation at this point. Sanders would also be perfect for the Seminoles as they look to leave the ACC for the Big Ten, SEC, or Big 12.
There's a lot that'd benefit both sides if Sanders went back to the college that put him on the map for NFL front offices during his playing days. But Sanders doesn't even call FSU his alma mater; saving that honor for Talladega College in Alabama.
Given how stressed he is coaching the Buffs, it'd be hard to see Sanders wanting to deal with the kind of involved boosters Florida State's are.
A career with relatively low expectations and a home in the foothills of the Rockies awaits him in Boulder. Why leave that for the circus in Tallahassee?
