Shedeur Sanders is still early in his Cleveland journey, but he is already making an impact away from football.
The former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback recently helped create an unforgettable prom night for Bedford High School seniors Marvin Thomas and his date Lamaya after allowing the pair to use his luxury Maybach for the special occasion. Photos and videos from the evening quickly spread online, showing the couple arriving in style while celebrating one of the biggest moments of their senior year.
Thomas, known on social media as “marvbowlz300,” is already earning recognition for more than just his prom entrance. The Bedford senior has become one of the more promising young bowlers in the area and is viewed by many as someone with legitimate professional potential in the sport.
Thomas won the 2024 PBA Junior Pro-Am event and has already received praise from professional bowling star Jason Belmonte, who reportedly told the young standout he believes he will eventually see him competing on the professional tour one day.
That made Sanders’ gesture feel even more meaningful.
In a heartfelt social media post, Marvin’s mother, Aria Singletary, thanked Sanders for helping create a memory their family will never forget.
“Your generosity, kindness, and support helped create an unforgettable experience and a memory he’ll cherish forever,” she wrote.
The night itself looked every bit as memorable as the reaction afterward. Thomas wore a custom green Louis Vuitton outfit while Lamaya complemented the look with a matching elegant green gown. The Maybach became part of the experience as the couple posed for pictures and celebrated their big night together.
Sanders later reacted to the viral prom moment himself, reposting one of the videos online with a simple caption:
“Legendary.”
That one-word reaction quickly caught attention and added another layer to a night that already meant so much to the family.
For Sanders, the act of generosity just reaffirmed something fans have seen throughout much of his football journey. During his time at Colorado and Jackson State, Sanders frequently embraced opportunities to connect with fans and give back in ways that often went beyond football headlines.
And for Marvin Thomas, whose future could very well include professional bowling, prom night became another memorable chapter in a story that already appears to be trending upward.
