Social media reacts to Jimmy Horn Jr.'s disappearance from Colorado-Texas Tech game
Buffs WR Jimmy Horn Jr. disappeared from the Colorado-Texas Tech Big 12 matchup with no formal announcement that he was injured. Social media immediately noticed Horn's disappearance from the pivotal Week 11 clash.
"Not sure what happened with Jimmy Horn Jr., but he has not been on the field since the first quarter for Colorado," BuffZone's Brian Howell tweeted on November 9.
As it was revealed on the broadcast, Horn suffered a lower leg injury. That had some fans believing it had something to do with the tortillas Texas Tech fans were throwing onto the field. Many bettors wanted their wagers voided because of it.
"Jimmy horn really got hurt slipping over that tortilla that s*** shouldn’t be legal," one fan tweeted.
"No way Jimmy horn slipped on a tortilla brah lol that s*** need to be a penalty," another agreed.
"So Jimmy Horn gets hurt cause Texas Tech fans throwing stuff on the field, Fanduel, need that voided," one unhappy bettor wrote.
Jimmy Horn Jr. has been dealing with injuries all season
This isn't Horn's first brush-up with an injury in 2024. Horn was injured during the Kansas State loss but didn't miss extended time. In fact, Horn was back for the Arizona game the following week. Not much about his injury was revealed.
Horn entered Week 11 ranked third in catches and receiving yards behind Travis Hunter and LaJohntay Wester. His presence will be necessary down the stretch as the Buffs cling to their Big 12 Championship Game hopes.
